Founded in 1976, CMTP is a leading family run Australian pallet, crate, and packaging manufacturer with eleven manufacturing sites spanning across Australia. The products we manufacture range from pallets, crates, produce bins, and cases, through to specialty air freight crates for live animals as well as machinery packing and relocation services. We are also a large supplier of cardboard and general packaging supplies. The Program
As a CMTP Graduate you will be taken on a structured two-year program to develop your professional experiences as well as knowledge and expertise across the business. We currently have opportunities at our sites in Melbourne, Brisbane, South Australia, Tasmania and Sydney.
You will participate in tailored placements across teams and sites across Australia, where you will be exposed to many aspects of the business.Â
These placements and project work may include but not be limited to:
- Hands on learning of CMTP manufacturing processes and products
- Internal training on all aspects of the CMTP business and operations
- Machine operation and robotics
- Operations and Production Management exposure
- Maintenance
- Dispatch and Logistics
- Lean manufacturing and quality training
- Leadership coaching and training
- Corporate exposure that may involve working with business units such as Finance, Industrial Design, Safety, Human Resources, Sales and Customer Service
- Ad hoc project work.
You will receive support, development, and guidance from a range of managers and mentors at CMTP. You will build your technical skills through on the job learning and you will develop a dedicated learning & development plan with your manager and mentors, which will assist you to strengthen commercial acumen, as well as aligning you with CMTP business objectives, values, and behaviours.Â

About You
We look for highly self-driven individuals that are:
Keen and flexible to travel and work across any of our sites within Australia
Willing to learn from the ground up and be prepared to undertake hands on/manual work on the factory floor, learning the manufacturing processes and machinery operations
Interested to learn any area of the CMTP business and possess a can-do attitude
Flexible and resilient in the face of change, and who exhibit creativity in the ways they adapt to those changes.
Able to work autonomously and work well in a team environment and is proactive to seek out projects to showcase your capabilities.
Be I.T and tech savvy and have a keen interest on new and emerging technologies.
